Platino Real Estate S.A. de C.V. is an Investment
Company primarily devoted to transactions relating to Resort Properties. Platinum
Shores Resort Properties, a division of Platino Real Estate, is an International Real
Estate Marketing Company with Offices in La Paz, Baja California Sur and in Puerto
Vallarta, Jalisco to serve our clients in both locations and the surrounding areas.
Leland Bray is the President of Platino Real Estate.
He is a retired California Trial Lawyer with a background in Mining, Environmental and
International Law. In 1989 he formed Far West Development Company S. A. de C.V. The
company acquired Real Properties and constructed residential housing in the East Cape
B.C.S. through 1994. Platino Real Estate was formed shortly thereafter.
Jorge Eloy was born in Qaxaca, raised in Mexico City
and has lived in Baja California Sur for the past twenty years. He has played a major role
in the development of large scale projects. His involvement in these undertakings has
encompassed all aspects of the projects, from the inception, locating the properties,
arranging and participating in the negotiations, the transfer of titles, consultations
with Municipal and State officials through the application and final approval of the
Subdivision and the General Development Plan. He has also provided valuable assistance to
our organization during the past seven years. Needless to say we particularly pleased to
have Jorge Eloy on our team and we look forward to many more years of his participation as
our enterprise continues to expand.
Bill Edsell works in conjunction with Lee Bray in
providing oversight in Sales and Investment Opportunities in La Ventana- El Sargento area.
Bill also known as "Mr. Bill" in wind surfing circles first came to Baja in 1980
and set up a business to teach Board Sailing to tourists in Cabo San Lucas. He has, in the
years since, operated Mr. Bills Baja Adventures. Several years ago, he decided to open a
resort to serve water sports enthusiasts. Ventana Bay Resort is already well established
and is a popular destination. The restaurant continues to receive rave reviews for the
excellent cuisine and service.
Antonio Moreno, Sales Manager. Antonio lived in the
City of Puebla where he attended University, for three years majoring in International
Business. He worked on the Staff of one of the Notaries in La Paz for two years. His
duties were reviewing contracts and as an interpreter. He is fluent in English and is well
received by both Mexican and Foreign clients.
Our website developer, SameDayWebSite, has as you
can see done an outstanding job. Martha Chan and her partner Gina painstakingly led us
along the foggy trail that led to our Baja website and they haven’t given up on us
yet. During the Baja effort they were in danger of becoming the Same Year Web Site. In
fairness to all of the others who were involved at the time it was the president who
kicked up all of the dust and then complained because he couldn’t see. Martha is our
liaison for the Outreach Referral Brokers in the Toronto area. We depend on Martha and
Gina’s assistance and guidance which extends well beyond the mere assembly of a
website and are thankful for their tenacity.
Enrique Anglo is affiliated with Platinum Shores
Resort Properties to provide Administrative Services to our clients. He is a Native of La
Paz, and is highly respected by local businesspersons and Government personnel and he has
a good reputation in the community at large. He has a Degree in Accounting and he is the
recipient of a Certificate from AMPI, a National Organization of the Federal Government
for Outstanding Achievement in Accounting and in all matters pertaining to Real Estate
Transactions.
Ana Espinosa, Receptionist and Outside Services
Coordinator. She is attending University in La Paz majoring in Accounting. She is Fluent
in English and is extremely pleasant, popular with our clients and very helpful to all of
us.
Cabo San Lucas Properties joined Platino Real
Estate as an affiliate in 2002. Rene Billard the Owner-Broker founded the enterprise in
downtown Cabo San Lucas in 1991. He, along with his wife Carmen supervises the operation
providing assistance to clients in the areas of: Sales, Fideiocomisos, Administrative
Services, Property Management and Vacation Rentals. He speaks Spanish, English, French and
Italian fluently and he is an Official Translator Certified by the State of Baja
California Sur in Spanish from French and visa versa. All of their salesmen and staff are
fluent in Spanish and English.
Rene Billard was born and raised in Mexico
City. His parents are French. He began his University studies in Italy and later
attended University in Grenoble France where he received his Undergraduate Degree in
Marketing with a minor in Languages. His lifelong passion is soccer. He still
plays regularly on a veteran’s team. In his younger years he played in
several European countries and of course in Mexico.
Denny Querantes is an active Real Estate Broker in
the Southern California - Orange County area. Denny has been selling US Real Estate
for many years. He has recently joined the Southern Baja Real Estate Network as
an Affiliate and a US based Outreach Referral Broker. Denny and his wife Tasha own
property in Southern Baja and visit the area often. He is familiar with our
properties and will be able to help you directly or have us contact you without delay.
Bahia Real Estate joined our network in 2002.
The Broker-Owners, Doug and Rosa Steers operate the office. Doug came to Baja from
Southern California 18 years ago and soon thereafter Married Rosa, a native of Los
Barriles, who was teaching school. They are both fluent in Spanish and English and
have been representing Mexican and Foreign Clients for 15 years
We are fortunate to have a team made up of people with
diverse backgrounds that are compatible and take their work seriously without giving up
their capacity to enjoy life.
We do not aspire to have more business or to sell more
property than other Realtors. We feel that if we serve our clients to the best of our
